I just booked our flight to Southern California and rented the car. We are head out Friday afternoon for Las Vegas and then a short car ride and we will be at Chef's grandmother's house (gives new meaning to over the river and through the woods to grandma's house we go). We are soooo excited about Christmas this year and being able to spend it with family. It's been 10 years since he has spent a holiday with family. The best part about this trip in my opinion is that NONE of them know that we are coming! Chef talked to his grandmother a few weeks ago and she was trying to convence him that we could make the trip and trying to figure out ways that we could get down there and do so cheaply. She will be soooo suprised and excited when we walk in the door Christmas morning!!! I love being able to give him and his family the gift of us all being together for the holiday!!!
